Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Inclusion at Scotiabank: Scotia Pride was started in 2008, when a group of Scotiabank LGBT employees and allies created an employee resource group (ERG) called Scotia Pride with the support of Scotiabank’s senior leadership and an executive champion. The ERG’s mission is to help the bank foster an inclusive environment where all employees and customers feel safe, valued, and respected. Every Scotia Pride networking event is open to all Scotiabank employees, not simply those who identify as LGBT.
