Invest in Physical Well-Being
Frontline work environments—factories, hotels, restaurants, stores—can be physically hard places to work. Employees across many different jobs may be manipulating equipment, tools, and products; lifting and carrying inventory or meals; standing at an assembly line, register, or welcome desk; or cleaning rooms. They may be doing these tasks in ill-fitting uniforms, over long shifts, with too few breaks, bathrooms, lactation rooms, or locker room facilities, and occasionally in circumstances where they fear bodily harm.
