This in-person event will take place from 14:00 -17:00 CET.
Across the board, we have been hearing a strong desire for more dialogue around race and ethnicity in Europe to address bias and discrimination faced by underrepresented groups in the workplace.
Communicating across differences is more important than ever before. Yet having conversations about gender, race, and ethnicity can feel uncomfortable, accusatory, and potentially threatening. To ensure successful and meaningful dialogue, we need to acknowledge and work through roadblocks (i.e. beliefs, attitudes or experiences) that can stifle progress. Learning how to surmount these obstacles takes practice, attention, and most importantly, intention. Let’s unpack those roadblocks and learn from one another by reflecting on the following questions:
How to talk about Race and Ethnicity at Work
Sharing impactful and sustainable initiatives/programs for race and ethnic diversity inclusion and retention
The importance of understanding Emotional Tax and how to provide a safe space
Join us for a roundtable discussion & networking Apéro. Come prepared to share how you and your organizations navigate the challenges and opportunities. We will also be sharing the latest insights from our race and ethnicity research. We look forward to engaging in impactful dialogue with you around these topics, to learn together and to identify action steps for organizations
Rikia Birindelli-Fayne (Senior Director, Catalyst) and Jessica Taylor-Hall (Director, Catalyst) will facilitate this roundtable. We invite business leaders, HR professionals, DEI professionals, and champions of inclusion to contribute to this dialogue.
