From gender representation to LGBTQ+ rights, racial inequity to disability discrimination; with some huge political moves in the past year relating to equality and social inclusion, there has never been a more important time to educate ourselves and learn to welcome difference, nation to nation.
The free-to-attend 2021 Europe edition of the Women in IT Summit will help businesses turn conversation into action; exploring how we can all fight for diverse representation in leadership and support underrepresented leaders, and sharing how you can fuel your organisational transformation, growth and recovery with data and digitisation.
Join on 14 September to hear new and unique perspectives, discover dynamic opportunities for collaboration, and leave armed with actionable takeaways for your personal and professional life.
Don’t miss Catalyst experts Sandra Ondraschek-Norris and Jose M. Romero in the Masterclass 1 session from 2:30-3:30pm CET on How to Use Gender Partnership and Advocacy to Achieve Equity & Inclusion. See below for more details on the session.
96% of organisations report progress when men are actively involved in gender initiatives. Yet, for too long, gender inclusion has been framed as a women’s issue – overlooking the pivotal role men can play.
But how do we achieve a truly collaborative and inclusive approach where people of all genders work together in making change happen? Drawing on Catalyst research and the MARC (Men Advocating Real Change) movement, we will explore what effective Gender Partnership and Advocacy in the workplace look like.
Participants will:
- deepen their understanding of how to engage more men in the equity conversation and how gender equity benefits everyone
- how to identify and overcome common obstacles to positive change
- reflect on how individuals and organizations can build and apply advocacy skills that are transferable beyond gender
- take away fresh perspectives on how to reinvigorate DEI initiatives
