When you look around your workplace what do you see? A mix of people from different background, ages, and gender? Or a largely homogeneous group of people?
To leverage the competitive advantage of diversity, organizations must recruit from the total talent pool available to them. Traditional organizational practices and outmoded assumptions that focus only on overcoming barriers, rather than also leveraging strengths, can fall short in creating inclusive work environments relevant to today’s workforce. Successful organizations tap the talents of a diverse employee base, ensuring a spectrum of valued opinions and ideas on products and services.
Please join us for a conversation evaluating existing recruitment practices as well as discussing new approaches that are built into, and align diversity with, an organization’s overall business goals. Learn from others how they attract and recruit diverse talent addressing questions like:
o What are the challenges to recruiting a diverse workforce?
o Who are your target candidates and what are they looking for in a career?
o How will your organization tap into the right channels to reach these candidates?
o Where should your organization be visible?
o What is the right selling point to show candidates that your organization is right for them?
We invite executives, HR leaders, diversity and inclusion practitioners, and champions of inclusion from all parts of your business to attend. Most importantly, we need men—who still hold the vast majority of positions of power—to become active champions of workplace inclusion. We highly encourage you to bring along a male colleague!
