Catalyst Roundtable: Amplifying Marginalised Voices in the Workplace
December 5, 2022 9:30 am GMT — December 5, 2022 12:30 pm GMT
December 5, 2022 9:30 am GMT — December 5, 2022 12:30 pm GMT
Note: This event was rescheduled from November 10.
Join Catalyst to discuss the importance of allyship and advocacy in the workplace in creating the right conditions for high-performing, innovative teams.
When 68% of people from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups told Catalyst that, even amongst their team, they braced themselves for signs of bias and unfair treatment this issue cannot be ignored.
Find out how allyship (actively supporting people from marginalised groups) differs from advocacy (proactively taking action to drive positive, structural change), as well as the dangers of performative allyship.
Also, learn how to build a successful strategy to create formal and informal mechanisms to amplify marginalised voices, ensuring that their ideas, thoughts, and contributions are known and valued in your organization.
Catalyst will also share some DEI trends, insights from our latest research and best practices.
We hope that you can join us and meet other UK-based Catalyst Supporters! Seating is limited so please register as soon as possible.
Tomi Isaacs, Senior Director, UK, Catalyst, and Rikia Birindelli-Fayne, Senior Director, Corporate Engagement, EMEA, Catalyst, will facilitate the informal roundtable. Join us for a collaborative discussion where we encourage other Supporters to share their organization’s experiences, insight and practices. We invite business leaders, HR professionals, DEI professionals, and champions of inclusion to join the dialogue. Registration is complimentary for Catalyst Supporters.
