Empathy in Times of Crisis

A Message from Catalyst

The unspeakable tragedy in Israel and humanitarian crisis in Gaza are heartbreaking and horrific. These events may affect how some of us show up in the workplace. Experiencing traumatic events can trigger anxiety, uncertainty, and stress. Even if we aren’t directly impacted by the crisis personally, we can feel the effects.

As we work alongside one another and lead teams, we must acknowledge how crises impact us and how we show up–and do so with empathy, grace, and care. Together, let us create psychologically safe spaces where everyone can feel supported, whatever they may be carrying from the world around them.
