Megan Diaz Ellinghaus, JD joined Catalyst in 2016 as its Director of Legal Affairs and has since become Deputy General Counsel.  She is a general corporate attorney with significant experience in intellectual property and private equity and venture capital transactions. Megan also serves on the Catalyst Award Evaluation Committee.

Megan brings to Catalyst ten years of experience as both outside and in-house counsel advising companies on a variety of operating, legal, strategic and structural issues, including: governance, day-to-day operations, reorganizations and middle market financing. and M&A transactions.  She has also worked with companies in overseeing compliance programs, HR and employee matters, and outside counsel, both domestic and international. Megan has additional experience providing guidance on tax-exemption issues. She has regularly advised boards of directors and executives on fiduciary duties and best practices.  Megan enjoys working closely with operations teams to close the gap between company policies and company practices, and she encourages companies to structure win-win contracts that will serve as the basis for durable deals and lasting business relationships.
