Krista earned her PhD from The University of Arizona in Sociology, with emphases in gender and culture, where she won a teaching award for developing the capstone course, “Women and Work.” For her dissertation, Krista explored how women—particularly mothers of young children—come to join and sell multi-level marketing products in search of flexible work.
