Senior Associate, Women and the Future of Work

Krista Frederico, PhD, is a Senior Associate in Women and the Future of Work, a division of Learning and Advisory Services, using her research background on women and flexible work to support content development across the organization. Working with the Future of Work team, as well as the Catalyst Women and the Future of Work Working Group, Krista also builds out Future of Work strategy across departments, working with donors and Supporters and contributing content expertise in organizational training content across a range of future-focused topics.

Krista earned her PhD from The University of Arizona in Sociology, with emphases in gender and culture, where she won a teaching award for developing the capstone course, “Women and Work.” For her dissertation, Krista explored how women—particularly mothers of young children—come to join and sell multi-level marketing products in search of flexible work. She is passionate about dismantling systemic inequities, including norms that impede women from receiving fair compensation for flexible employment. Krista is a Disney-parks enthusiast, along with her husband and three children.
