Joylene joined Catalyst in 2021 and served as the Senior Associate on the Leading for Equity & Inclusion team prior to joining the Global Corporate Engagement team as the Director for the Northeastern US region in 2023.

Joylene is a Miami, Florida native but lived and worked in New York City for over a decade and now calls Philadelphia, Pennsylvania home. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in visual arts management from the Fashion Institute of Technology and has worked with multiple museums and non-profits in the city as a Museum Educator and Operations Administrator. It was through her work in museum education that she was first formally introduced to DEI concepts. As the daughter, sister, and sister-in-law of teachers, service, education, inclusivity, and empathy have always been central to her work and interests.

Beyond her work with Catalyst, Joylene volunteers regularly with a local non-profit that actively combats food insecurity and waste through food rescues and managing community refrigerators throughout South Philly.
