Senior Associate, Leading for Equity & Inclusion
Joylene joined Catalyst in 2021 and serves as the Senior Associate on the Leading for Equity & Inclusion (LEI) Team within Catalyst’s Learning and Advisory Services group. She is responsible for ensuring the execution of learning methodologies such as webinars, e-learning, and instructor-led courses are aligned to meet the diversity and inclusion initiatives and strategic priorities for our Supporters.
Joylene is a Miami, Florida native but spent most of her career thus far in New York City. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology and has worked with multiple museums and non-profits in the city as a Museum Educator and Operations Administrator. It was through her work in museum education that she was first formally introduced to DEI concepts. As the daughter, sister, and sister-in-law of teachers, service, education, inclusivity, and empathy have always been central to her work and interests.
Beyond her work with Catalyst, Joylene volunteers regularly with a local non-profit that actively combats food insecurity and waste through food rescues, managing community refrigerators throughout Miami-Dade County, and providing food access for homebound community members.
