Ameera Virani is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years’ experience cultivating meaningful strategic partnerships and creating impactful events. Throughout her diverse career, Ameera has worked in the not-for-profit health and education sectors, developing corporate partnerships in philanthropy, research, and cause marketing. She has partnered with some of Canada’s leading organizations including TD Bank, Desjardins Financial, Canada Life, Bonvoy, Dairy Queen Int’l and Manulife to drive awareness and raise funds for education, pediatric healthcare, and research.

Ameera brings over 12 years of experience in event management and sponsorship from her time with the Power of Women and Power Within events. At Western University, Ameera co-led the University Advancement task force for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and assisted in developing Western’s Black Leadership University Experience program.

Outside of her professional endeavours, Ameera is an avid reader, who enjoys exploring the world through travel and discovering new cultures and cuisines. Her greatest joy comes from spending time with her family and their adored golden doodle, Oscar!

With her experience, strategic mindset, and genuine enthusiasm for building collaborative partnerships, Ameera is dedicated to making a lasting impact and driving positive social change. She is committed to empowering women, fostering inclusivity, and creating memorable experiences that inspire personal and professional growth.

Ameera received her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and International Management from the University of Ottawa.
