Executive summary

AI presents German organisations with an opportunity to drive business growth nationally and internationally. Aligning corporate strategy with regulatory frameworks ensures fairness, equitable access, and AI adoption that accelerates productivity and innovation. Achieving this alignment requires the right blend of infrastructure and skills.

But our analysis revealed a gap: German companies do not yet have the infrastructure needed to accelerate innovation and productivity with AI. Closing the gap requires HR leaders to champion the systems, skills, and governance that enable AI to drive both business growth and equitable outcomes for the workforce.
