Catalyst’s report Interrupting Sexism at Work: How Men Respond in a Climate of Silence found that an overwhelming majority of men—86%—say they are committed to interrupting sexist behaviors when they see them in the workplace. However, only 31% say they are confident they can do so. Men want to be part of the solution, but they also perceive that the costs of doing so at work are high. According to Catalyst research, an organizational climate of silence often discourages men from speaking up.
