Executive summary

ATB Financial is a purpose-driven bank headquartered in Alberta, Canada. In 2017, it undertook the important work of Truth and Reconciliation, and in 2025 it released the Truth and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which details five pillars containing 14 commitments to reconciliation. The RAP was co-created through cross-functional collaboration with communities across Treaty 6, Treaty 7, Treaty 8, the Métis Nation of Alberta, the Métis Settlements and various Métis locals and is available in six languages. ATB’s reconciliation work has had a profound impact on the Indigenous communities it serves, as well as employees. It has earned a bronze certification from the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program from the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) in 2024.
