The 2014 SAIS Global Conference on Women in the Boardroom brings together CEOs and board chairs of publicly traded companies, leaders of business organizations that have championed boardroom diversity, stock exchange executives, government officials, institutional investors, search firm executives, academics and international experts to assess progress in the United States and abroad on achieving gender balance on corporate boards, and to recommend practical, business-led initiatives to accelerate the selection of qualified women for board service.

The full day Public Plenary Session will feature keynote remarks by the US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Mary Jo White. The session will highlight the role that institutional investors, stock exchanges, securities regulators and board nominating committees can play to advance gender diversity in the boardroom. The SAIS conference has become a major event for business leaders and officials working to improve boardroom diversity.

This event is being held at the US Chamber of Commerce Headquarters, 1615 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.
