"Achieving diversity is about making sure that people have access to opportunities. I have seen exceptional results for women at McCarthy Tétrault who were given opportunities, not based on what they have done, but what they can do."
"When I walked into my first meeting at Shell, I knew it was the right company for me. It was diverse in many ways, and the voices of both men and women were heard and respected equally. I believe that companies in which women are well-represented throughout, including at the senior levels, are more successful. Such companies are able to leverage the full talents of everyone and approach challenges and opportunities from many perspectives. This award is a testament to Shell’s commitment to diversity, and I have been very proud to support the advancement of women within our corporate culture."
"I'm honoured to be recognized as a Catalyst Champion and to be part of an organization that values the role female mentors play in the workplace. As a business leader, mentor, and mother, I believe in the power of paying it forward and hope that my mentees and my children will be inspired to do the same."
"At TD, we view diversity and inclusion as strategic priorities. We know that to be successful, we need to attract the very best people and provide them with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. I’m very proud to lead TD’s Women in Leadership Committee, and of all the great work we’re doing to help expand leadership opportunities for women. I’m confident that by partnering with our businesses to increase representation and engagement of women, we can encourage and inspire women from all levels of the bank to achieve their career goals."
"I am humbled and extremely grateful to Catalyst for this award whose greater significance is that it lends vital credibility to the work that we do every day and serves as a reminder of the obligation to drive forward to a better future."
"There were female lawyers who were recruited by the firm either through law schools or later on in their careers. My role, along with others at Osler, was to work with these lawyers and help them develop their accountability and leadership skills so they could take advantage of their abilities."
