Listen to the webinar.

It’s no secret that women in STEM— science, technology, engineering and math—face significant challenges.

During this webinar, Nicole Holmes, SVP, Sales and Contracts at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, and Shawn Purvis, Sector Vice President and General Manager, Cyber Division, Northrop Grumman Information Systems, shared how they maneuvered through obstacles in STEM fields and found solutions for advancing their careers. Deborah Campbell, Senior Director and Consultant, Global Member Services, Catalyst, moderated the discussion, and referenced Catalyst’s groundbreaking global report, High Potentials in Tech-Intensive Industries: The Gender Divide in Business Roles, which reveals a culture that is particularly unwelcoming to women, no matter what the job.

Was the topic changed from "Advancing Women in Tech..."? The obejctive and the content of the Webinar seem to have changed as well.

Hi Jenny, Yes, the title was changed to more closely reflect the content. The description was primarily updated to introduce the panelists and to clarify that "Tech-Intensive Industries" are not limited to the Tech industry, but essentially mean "STEM Industries", so we thought it would be clearer to use the term "STEM". Note that our research on Tech-Intensive Industries covers more than the Tech industry. Thanks for asking!
