Negin Sattari
Director, Research
Negin Sattari, PhD, is a Sociologist and Director of the Research team at Catalyst. Her current work focuses on improving work conditions for women in frontline jobs. In her past role, she led Catalyst’s research on engaging men in advocating change toward just and inclusive workplaces for all.
Negin’s scholarship revolves around the dynamics of gender inequalities in the workplace with a focus on individuals’ understandings of and responses to mechanisms of discrimination. Prior to coming to Catalyst, she taught courses such as women in global perspective, research methods, and introduction to sociology.
Negin earned her PhD in sociology from University of Illinois. She earned an MA in sociology and an MS in mechanical engineering from Southern Illinois University.
