Rosalind C. Barnett is a Senior Scientist at Brandeis University’s Women’s Studies Research Center, and has conducted pioneering research on workplace issues and family life. Caryl Rivers is a nationally known author and journalist, and professor of journalism at Boston University. Barnett and Rivers are authors of The New Soft War on Women: How the Myth of Female Ascendance is Hurting Women, Men—and Our Economy (Tarcher/Penguin).
In 2011 Barnett and Rivers won both the Casey Medal for distinguished journalism and a special citation from the National Education Writers Association for opinion columns. Their article “The Looming Male Backlash” was recently featured on The Daily Beast.
