Makiko Ishizawa was a librarian with the Catalyst Information Center from 2011 to 2019. She answered custom research questions from Supporters, the media, academics, and the public. Makiko worked on Infographic: The Case for Gender Diversity in Japan and other IC knowledge products, including Quick Takes.

Makiko holds Master’s degrees in Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  She received a Bachelor’s degree with distinction in Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
