Summary of Responsibilities

The Research team seeks a temporary scholar on a part-time appointment to support research efforts examining women and inclusion within organizations. The Researcher contributes to project-team activities, including managing datasets, conducting quantitative data analysis, and writing summaries of research findings. This is a part-time, temporary position.

Essential Functions

Collaborates with team in collecting data as well as managing and maintaining data sets, including verifying and ensuring data integrity.
Conducts quantitative analyses, synthesizes findings, and summarizes results.
Participates in relevant conference calls and group meetings related to project activities.
Assists Research team with project work, as available and applicable.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates organizational and project management skills.

  • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of statistics, specifically regression, ANOVA, path, and SEM models.

  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Applies creative problem-solving and analytical skills to research projects.

  • Is literate in a networked PC, Windows-based, environment and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to use statistical software, including SPSS, to prepare, manage, and manipulate data for inferential statistical testing.

  • Functions effectively both independently and in a team-based virtual working environment.

  • Has in-depth knowledge of content areas including leadership, inclusion, and/or men and masculinities.

Education and Experience Requirements

This position requires a Master’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in social science, social work, sociology, psychology, business, or public administration/public policy. PhD students and post-doctoral candidates are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative methods, specifically psychometric analyses, and demonstrated intermediate/advanced knowledge of statistical software required.
