Senior Director, Inclusive Leadership Initiative

Responsibilities
The Senior Director, Inclusive Leadership Initiative (ILI), is responsible for the development, operation and growth of the ILI business. The ILI will contain new content drawn from Catalyst research that will be embedded in leadership development curricula to support our members and policy makers as they build, sustain, and leverage female talent in the markets where they operate. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: defining the business model (financial business case, market characterization, distribution/partner and pricing strategies); managing business operations (staffing, infrastructure, market/customer /channel relationships); and owning the business objectives (market share, brand alignment, reputation management, etc.) The incumbent will work closely with the SVP of Strategy & Marketing, the SVP of Research, the VP of Research (for ILI), the VP of Brand Management, and the VP of Global Communications to define and achieve objectives.
Functions
- Fully define the business model for the ILI, including pricing and distribution/partner strategies.
- Clearly define the target customer sectors to be addressed and the key requirements to be successful in each.
- Complete the assessment of the competitive landscape.
- Develop a rolling five-year business plan for ILI.
- Review and confirm the partnership model and criteria for selection.
- Identify potential distribution and content partners for ILI and secure these partners.
- Develop a detailed rolling two-year operational plan, complete with resourcing, infrastructure requirements, and business objectives.
- Develop the ILI rollout plan, including promotional strategy, initiatives, and partnership programs.
- Launch ILI.
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with financial analytics, including the development of a budget, an income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Strategic thinker, but also strong at execution.
- Adept at business/market research.
- Strong business/market development skills.
- Product management (pricing, promotion, product packaging).
- Program management skills.
- Some familiarity with basic partnership/distribution contracts.
- Strong, succinct business writer.
- Excellent communicator and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate matrixed project teams as well as to serve as a team member.
- Meticulous eye for detail.
- Self-starter who can work autonomously, as well as a team player.
- Technical savvy, including solid knowledge of social media channels.
- Ability to generate new ideas and creative solutions.
- Calm under fire.
- Command of Microsoft Office applications.
- Foreign language proficiency a plus.

Education and Experience Requirements
M.B.A. or equivalent graduate degree in business. At least ten years of work experience in strategic planning, product management, and/or channel/market development. Experience negotiating and managing distribution and product partnerships preferred. IP licensing and international business experience a plus.
