Catalyst’s office in India operates under the leadership of Deborah Gillis, Senior Vice President, Membership & Global Operations. With Deepali Bagati, Senior Advisor, in Mumbai, Catalyst’s mission—expanding opportunities for women and business—guides our work as we connect Catalyst members in India with each other and with our groundbreaking research.

Engaging Companies in India

Catalyst’s Advancing Women in India series provides insights into the work companies in India are doing to develop and advance women.

• Leadership Gender Gap in India Inc.: Myths and Realities builds awareness and offers action steps for developing and advancing women in corporate India.
• 2010 India Benchmarking Report is based on the responses of 56 India-headquartered companies and India subsidiaries of Europe- and North America-headquartered companies and reports on initiatives and strategies to advance women at these companies. Participants received online access to the Catalyst India Benchmarking Tool, which allows them to compare their survey responses to those of all participants, India-headquartered respondents, India subsidiary respondents, and industry peers.

Inspiring Events

Catalyst India WRC is committed to building solutions with corporate leaders through roundtables, panel discussions, and other events that enable our members to share insights with each other. Two recent roundtable discussions on the importance of sponsorship for women and the organizations for which they work featured Deborah Gillis, Senior Vice President, Membership & Global Operations, and Deepali Bagati, Senior Advisor, India. 

• October 4, 9:30am to noon, hosted by Genpact at Genpact Towers in Gurgaon.
• October 5, 9:30am to noon, hosted by Goldman Sachs at Crystal Down in Bangalore.
