The Catalyst Canada Honours recognizes one individual in each of three categories: Company/Firm Leader; Business Leader; and Human Resources/Diversity Leader.

Dinner Chair Bill Downe also emphasized the significance of champions:
“Catalyst Canada has helped all of us in this room develop strategies for the advancement of women in the workplace. And none of those strategies is more powerful to my mind than the concept of being a champion.”
And the Chair of the Catalyst Canada Advisory Board, Rick Waugh, President and CEO, Scotiabank, focussed on the importance of leadership:
“We have over 60 CEOs here. My message is clear. For those of you who didn’t have your CEO or leader here, you have to go back to the office tomorrow and tell them who was here, and ask them where were they?”
