Catalyst Member Benchmarking
Tracking Progress
Catalyst Member Benchmarking, a service included in membership, allows members to track gender and racial/ethnic diversity by level and global region, as well as come together to share ideas, challenges, and strategies on diversity and inclusion. Two opportunities are offered: Workforce Statistics and Virtual Roundtables.
Workforce Statistics
Members are invited to submit representation and attrition data confidentially through the Catalyst Member Benchmarking: Workforce Statistics survey. To review the results, participating members receive password-protected online access to the Catalyst Member Benchmarking Tool, which provides aggregated workforce statistics analyzed by global region and, where applicable, race/ethnicity. The Tool allows participants to customize comparisons with other participants as well as industry peers.
To try out the Catalyst Member Benchmarking Tool, enter the following word for both the username and password: demo. The percentages and numbers displayed in this demonstration are for illustrative purposes only and do not represent actual results.
In 2009, 181 organizations participated in Catalyst Member Benchmarking; many have agreed to be identified publicly.
Virtual Roundtables
Catalyst Member Benchmarking: Virtual Roundtables build a knowledge-sharing community among members. Facilitated by a Catalyst researcher or consultant, these interactive web-based events feature member panelists from a variety of industries discussing the challenges their organizations face, the strategies they have used to address those challenges, success factors, and future plans. After each Virtual Roundtable, Catalyst will connect participants (pending permission) for further networking and learning. In addition, a brief summary and audio recording of each Virtual Roundtable will be available for all members.
