Xerox’s Chief Executive Officer Ursula M. Burns to Chair 2011 Catalyst Awards Dinner, and Kraft Foods Chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld to Keynote 2011 Catalyst Awards Conference

NEW YORK– Catalyst announced today that Ursula M. Burns, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Xerox Corporation, will serve as Chair of the 2011 Catalyst Awards Dinner, and Irene Rosenfeld, Chairman and CEO of Kraft Foods, will deliver the keynote address at the 2011 Catalyst Awards Conference. The Conference and Dinner, which will be held at The Waldorf=Astoria in New York on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, celebrate the 2011 Catalyst Award winners for outstanding business initiatives that advance women into corporate leadership.
“Ursula Burns and Irene Rosenfeld inspire women everywhere to pursue positions of leadership at the highest levels within their individual organizations, in the business community, and in society,” said Ilene H. Lang, President & Chief Executive Officer of Catalyst. “Xerox and Kraft are companies with strong commitments to creating inclusive workplaces and advancing talented women to top leadership positions. Ms. Burns joined Xerox in 1980 as a mechanical engineering summer intern and later assumed roles in product development and planning. In addition to the Xerox board, she is a board director of the American Express Corporation, was named by President Barack Obama to help lead the White House national program on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) in November 2009, and was appointed vice chair of the President’s Export Council in March 2010. Xerox is the world’s leading enterprise for business process and document management.
Recently named as the world's second most powerful woman by both Forbes and Fortune, Ms. Rosenfeld is a veteran of the food and beverage industry with nearly 30 years of experience. After joining Kraft Foods in 1981, she advanced through various senior management roles, becoming Chief Executive Officer in June 2006 and Chairman in March 2007. Ms. Rosenfeld’s leadership has helped to make Kraft Foods a global powerhouse in snacks, with an unrivaled portfolio of iconic brands that people love. With approximately $48 billion in revenues, Kraft Foods is the world’s second largest food company.
