New York City, N.Y., December 13, 2017—Catalyst today announced its 2018 Catalyst Awards Conference and Dinner will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the New York Hilton Midtown. With the theme “Workplaces That Work for Women,” the events celebrate transformational leaders and innovative corporate initiatives striving to create real change for women in the workplace. The events bring together more than 2,000 attendees, including the distinguished Catalyst Board of Directors and Catalyst CEO Champions For Change leaders as well as executives from top global corporations, professional firms, governments, NGOs and educational institutions.
The 2018 Catalyst Awards Conference offers one-of-a-kind solutions in sessions focusing on the impact of inclusive leadership, cultures and workplaces. Several sessions also highlight lessons learned from the soon-to-be-announced 2018 Catalyst Award-winning initiative(s), which are the groundbreaking diversity and inclusion programs Catalyst recognizes as addressing the recruitment, development and advancement efforts needed to accelerate women into leadership.
In celebration of the Catalyst Award-winning initiative(s), the 2018 Catalyst Awards Dinner gala is scheduled to take place on the evening of March 20, 2018. The Dinner Chair is Arnold W. Donald, President & Chief Executive Officer, Carnival Corporation & plc.
“This is a critically important moment in history where diverse and inclusive workplaces matter most, and should be celebrated. We need workplaces that work for all women at all levels and where everyone can thrive,” said Deborah Gillis, President and CEO, Catalyst. “The 2018 Catalyst Awards mark an opportunity to not only convene global business leaders who are willing to share their knowledge and expertise—helping to shape ideas about gender equality in the workplace—but it is an unparalleled platform to recognize some of the world’s most powerful companies for driving change and taking a no-holds-barred approach to make progress happen for women.”
Over more than 30 years, Catalyst has recognized 88 corporate initiatives at 82 organizations around the world. Last year’s Catalyst Award-winning initiatives were: 3M, I'm In. Accelerating Women's Leadership; BMO Financial Group, Diversity and Inclusion Renewal for Sustainable Change; and Rockwell Automation, The Culture of Inclusion Journey. The 2018 Catalyst Award-winning initiative(s) will be announced in January 2018.
