Success in today’s global business environment is dependent on an increased pipeline of interested students—both girls and boys. Texas Instruments (TI) recognizes that supporting education is critical to its success, and to that of its communities, today and for the future. TI has long played a leadership role in driving innovative education programs, dating back to its founding. As of January 1, 2012, TI and the TI Foundation have invested more than $150 million over the previous five years to support education. Higher education received about 80 percent of these funds, with approximately 70 percent of that investment focused on research. About $30 million of these contributions has been focused on building the pipeline of K-12 students succeeding in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
