"But if you are a heterosexual, employed, white male over the age of 30 you're not really included in anything," said a member of the ACT Legislative Assembly this past week, prompting open and engaged discussion in workplaces, online and in the media.

At Catalyst, we know that gender equality is everyone's business. When companies focus on having the very best talent—and a gender-balanced workforce—it is good for everyone. Inclusion drives business results, yet many companies struggle to make significant progress toward creating inclusive workplaces and closing the gender equality gap. And the question remains, who’s in and who’s out?  There is a growing realisation that to make progress, we need:

  • Men and women working together to change organisational norms and cultures.
  • Men and women engaging in candid, constructive dialogue about their experiences at work.
  • Individuals and leaders developing and demonstrating inclusive leadership skills.
  • The majority of leaders actively advocating for change.

Join us for a lively interactive discussion about how this can be achieved and how organisations are focusing on flexibility, inclusion and shared responsibility for building high-performing teams. Catalyst, along with our panelists, will share insights on inclusive leadership research, tools and practices, and lessons learned from our MARC (Men Advocating Real Change) initiative and our pioneering MARC Leaders program.

We invite business leaders, HR professionals, D&I professionals, and champions of inclusion to join the dialogue. Female participants are asked to bring a male colleague. Registration is complimentary for Catalyst Supporters. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.

We’d like to thank our host, QBE for the generous support of this event.
