We all are looking for role models to help guide us through our lives and careers. Yet women in particular often can’t find visible female role models at the top who demonstrate to other women that it is possible for them to get there too. Catalyst research shows that almost two-thirds of women report a lack of role models as an obstacle to their career advancement.
Men, on the other hand, need respected male role models who are championing gender equality and challenging the status quo, providing them with opportunities to see respected and powerful male executives who dare to challenge the traditional roles women and men play in the workplace and at home. This sort of exposure to courageous role models provides men with important reassurance that they will not lose face and be judged less manly for taking a stand against gender bias.
Join us for a unique opportunity to hear from powerful—female and male—role models and understand the impact that champions can have at different points in our careers. This Catalyst Roundtable in Munich will feature Sarah Fix-Bäre, Google Germany Industry Leader Retail and Kieran Finn, Vice President, Human Resources at PAREXEL who are leading by example and will share stories and insights from a female and male perspective. The session will be facilitated by Catalyst Consultant Isabelle Kürschner and Livia von Mitschke-Collande, Google Germany Industry Manager.
This roundtable is complimentary for Catalyst Supporters but space is limited—early registration is highly recommended.
The event is followed by a networking rececption.
