Attention to board diversity is escalating, and the widespread adoption of formal and informal approaches to increasing women’s representation in the boardroom suggests that the expectation for businesses to diversify their boards is the new norm.
The 2013 Catalyst CEO Summit will bring together global business leaders to discuss approaches to improving gender diversity on boards. We will hear from CEOs and board directors, tapping the collective experience of participants to proactively uncover solutions and actions. Our discussion will focus on the primary challenges to women being selected for board seats and how to create an inclusive board. Ultimately, we will create a community of change agents.
After this discussion, senior executive women who have been sponsored as board-ready by CEOs of Catalyst member companies through the Catalyst Corporate Board Resource will join the group to listen and participate in a moderated dialogue among sitting directors. A networking reception will follow.
