Today, employee resource groups (ERGs), business resource or affinity groups can be found in many organisations. Over 80% of Catalyst member organizations surveyed had at least one ERG. These groups can have considerable impact on an organization`s ability to develop future leaders, increase employee engagement, and expand marketplace reach. ERGs also represent an opportunity to build cultural competence around inclusive leadership, which in turn allows companies to learn from and include diverse groups at work.

Join Catalyst's Vandana Juneja, Regional Director, Central Canada, for an intimate roundtable discussion to learn more about ERGs and Catalyst's new Employee Resource Leadership Initiative (ERLI) which is helping to engage and connect ERG leaders across companies. In this interactive session, we will present Catalyst research, tools and resources available to ERG leaders; discuss leading-edge practices from Catalyst member organizations; and explore challenges faced by ERGs - and solutions for overcoming them. We'll consider questions such as:

  • How can you make your ERG more impactful?

  • How can you align your ERG with business?

  • What are the common challenges and success factors of an ERG?

This event is complimentary to Catalyst Members. We invite ERG/network leaders, co-chairs, executive sponsors, diversity and inclusion professionals and others with ERG responsibilities to attend this session. Content is applicable to all ERGs - such as those focused on women, visible minorities, the LGBT community and many other ERG/BRG/network communities.
