Nominations for the 2016 Catalyst Canada Honours are now open. If you know someone who is accelerating progress for women through workplace inclusion we encourage you to submit a completed Nomination Package by March 31, 2016, to [email protected].
A Catalyst Canada Honours Champion is a leader who is visibly committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Champions mentor and sponsor women and minorities, challenge the status quo, influence others to advocate for diversity and inclusion, and have a marked impact on the advancement of women and other under-represented groups in the workplace, including but not limited to Aboriginals, people with disabilities, members of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community, and visible minorities. Through their own unique combination of behaviors, skills, and convictions, champions inspire others to make workplaces and the world better and more inclusive for all.
Catalyst Canada Honours Emerging Leaders have created inclusive workplaces that support the advancement of women either within their organization or in their community. They are not senior executives, but they are inclusive leaders whose actions have resulted in tangible change.
Nominee Categories and Eligibility
Catalyst Canada Honours Champions are chosen in two categories: Company/Firm Leader and Business Leader. They are strong, passionate senior leaders and role models who drive inclusion in the workplace and empower all women and men to reach their full potential.
Company/Firm Leader: This CEO, president (in Canadian incorporated companies or subsidiaries in which there is no CEO), or managing partner leads a for-profit company, subsidiary, or limited liability partnership; a commercial crown corporation; or a commercial co-operative.
Business Leader: This senior executive leads a business unit, division, or practice area at a for-profit company, subsidiary, or limited liability partnership; a commercial crown corporation; or a commercial co-operative.
Catalyst Canada Honours Emerging Leaders take strategic steps to build inclusive workplaces that advance women in Canadian business. They are not senior executives, but their intentional leadership has yielded tangible results that deserve recognition. Nominees must be non-executive leaders at a for-profit company, subsidiary, limited liability partnership, commercial crown corporation, or a commercial co-operative in Canada. Eligible Nominees include leaders of programs or initiatives that are building inclusive workplaces and/or supporting women’s advancement either within an organization or in the community.
Catalyst encourages Nominees of all backgrounds and from industries across Canada to apply.
