Catalyst CEO Champions for Change
International Women's Day, March 8, 2017, saw the launch of Catalyst CEO Champions for Change, a new Catalyst initiative wherein CEOs visibly commit to continually working toward diversity, inclusion, and gender equality in their organizations.
More than 40 CEOs and business leaders have affirmed their commitment to be champions for change.
2017 Catalyst Awards Conference and Dinner
Catalyst was the official charity partner for the International Women's Day organization in support of their 2017 theme, #BeBoldForChange, keenly in line with our own theme of Leadership Redefined!
On March 8, 2017, the world celebrated International Women's Day, the annual commemoration of women's achievements—socially, economically, culturally, and politically. This year, the 2017 Catalyst Awards Conference and Dinner were also held on that special day—honoring organizations implementing bold initiatives for workplace equality. Our theme was Leadership Redefined, and we will continue to use it to shine a spotlight on what it means to be an inclusive leader.
Initiatives from 3M, BMO Financial Group and Rockwell Automation won the prestigious 2017 Catalyst Award. For 30 years, these awards have recognized exceptional efforts that help advance women in business.
Catalyst Canada Honours

The Catalyst Canada Honours annually recognizes exceptional role models for accelerating progress for women through workplace inclusion. Since 2010, more than 30 outstanding individuals have been honoured as Champions, representing the gold standard for leadership in corporate Canada.

In June of 2016, Catalyst Europe celebrated its 10th anniversary. Delegates from across Europe, including Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the UK assembled for a special Catalyst Europe anniversary event, Inclusion in Action, in Berlin on 20 June 2016 with Catalyst President and CEO Deborah Gillis and Allyson Zimmermann, Executive Director in Europe for Catalyst. In addition, Catalyst’s European ambassadors, Isabelle Kurschner and Caroline Pickard, and the Catalyst Europe team members Sandra Ondraschek-Norris, Senior Director, and Rikia Fayne, Relationship Manager, all played important roles in the success of the half-day event which focused on how to advance workplace inclusion.

Catalyst D&I Logues: It Takes EACH of Us
Catalyst India hosted D&I Logues on September 29, 2016. The Conference featured an exciting leader-to-leader conversation between Deborah Gillis, President & CEO, Catalyst, and the iconic leader, Dr. NS Rajan, Group Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the Group Executive Council, Tata Sons, and attendees also explored individual and organizational approaches that have intentionally made change through the four leadership behaviors that Catalyst has linked to workplace cultures of inclusion, team citizenship, and employee innovation. We call them the EACH Behaviors: E = Empowerment, A = Accountability, C = Courage, and H = Humility. It takes EACH of us to make change for all of us. View the retrospective!
