Introducing The Catalyst Canada Honours ~ Celebrating Champions of Women in Business

Individuals in three categories—a CEO/Firm Leader, a Business Leader, and a Human Resources/Diversity & Inclusion Leader—will be honoured in October in Toronto. The event also marks Catalyst Canada’s 10th anniversary.

Who’s on Board in Canada?

On March 3, 2010, Catalyst released the 2009 Catalyst Census: Financial Post 500 Women Board Directors at a panel moderated by Deborah Gillis, Vice President, North America. The report shows a barely perceptible nudge upward in the numbers.

Pipeline’s Broken Promise

This second report in Catalyst’s longitudinal research project on graduates of major business schools, finds that despite the MBA, women lag men in advancement and compensation starting from their first professional jobs.

Getting to the CORE

In January, Catalyst Europe AG launched CORE, a web-based information platform, presenting the best of the buzz in talent management and organizational innovation.

Engaging at Events

Catalyst Western Region brought senior and aspiring women together to network at a Catalyst Connects event in San Francisco in January, and in March, hosts a panel on engaging men in women’s career development.

As We C It

In Catalyzing—our new blog which tackles hot topics, news, and research in the area of women and work—Ilene discussed why the glass ceiling was lower than we thought and stressed the importance of choosing an employer with women on their board. “Choose an organization that invests in women,” she wrote. “Vote with your feet.”
