Introducing The Catalyst Canada Honours ~ Celebrating Champions of Women in Business
Individuals in three categories—a CEO/Firm Leader, a Business Leader, and a Human Resources/Diversity & Inclusion Leader—will be honoured in October in Toronto. The event also marks Catalyst Canada’s 10th anniversary.
Who’s on Board in Canada?
On March 3, 2010, Catalyst released the 2009 Catalyst Census: Financial Post 500 Women Board Directors at a panel moderated by Deborah Gillis, Vice President, North America. The report shows a barely perceptible nudge upward in the numbers.

In Catalyzing—our new blog which tackles hot topics, news, and research in the area of women and work—Ilene discussed why the glass ceiling was lower than we thought and stressed the importance of choosing an employer with women on their board. “Choose an organization that invests in women,” she wrote. “Vote with your feet.”
